Fintech company Devexperts has appointed Rainer Fuchsluger as Global Group CEO, effective immediately. The company said he will accelerate international growth and extend its portfolio across the investment and trade lifecycle.
The appointment comes as Devexperts approaches its 25th anniversary in 2027. The privately held financial technology provider said its products are used by more than 20 million traders worldwide every day. It has more than 800 employees across 10 offices and serves hundreds of clients.
Fuchsluger brings more than 25 years of leadership experience across financial software, market data, exchange technology and critical market infrastructure. His senior roles include LSEG, Wolters Kluwer, SS&C and Thomson Reuters. He has lived and worked in London, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and Switzerland during his career and currently resides in Dublin, according to the company. He also served on Wolters Kluwer’s Global Sustainability Governance Board.

Devexperts said Fuchsluger’s mandate includes bringing its capabilities closer together across the investment and trade lifecycle. The company plans to apply advanced technologies such as cloud computing and artificial intelligence across its portfolio. It said AI is already embedded in more than half of its software development pipeline and that it will build on those capabilities to accelerate product development.
Fuchsluger said his priority is to stay close to clients and understand their changing needs. He said capital markets are evolving amid demand for trusted data and analytics, resilient market infrastructure, cloud computing and AI. He added that combining Devexperts’ expertise with continued investment in advanced technologies could strengthen its offering and help clients navigate complex markets without compromising performance or resilience. Fuchsluger said he was grateful to founder Michael Babushkin and the board for their confidence and was excited to build on the company’s achievements.
Founder Michael Babushkin said Fuchsluger’s knowledge of global financial markets and record of scaling technology businesses across major financial centres would help the company build on its strengths. Babushkin also thanked outgoing CEO Ben Hurley for his leadership and commitment. Hurley decided to leave Devexperts for new opportunities after more than four years with the company, including the past two as CEO.
Devexperts’ portfolio includes DXtrade, a multi-asset trading and brokerage platform; dxFeed, its market data and exchange connectivity business; and Devexa, an AI-powered client engagement platform. The company also provides market analytics, exchange technology and critical infrastructure to capital markets. Its clients include banks, brokerages, exchanges and wealth management firms.
The appointment sits within a wider fintech focus on technology leadership and product development. Wealth firms have also been creating dedicated AI leadership roles, as described in this report on AI leadership. Other coverage has examined AI partnerships at wealth firms and the Temenos acquisition of Additiv to strengthen a wealth technology platform in Asia.
Devexperts said it will mark its quarter century next year with a global programme led by Fuchsluger. The programme will recognize the people, clients and technology that have shaped the company while setting out its vision for the future. The announcement also details the appointment and the company’s plans for its portfolio.
